Marco has found himself in the company of some curious magical creatures - powerful faeries called The Echo Folk. The echo folk need to consume sounds to survive so they are here to snack on songs, tales, and rousing cheers from you! Transport yourself to the world of the tale as Marco, The Echo Folk, & friends make magical music together.
Behind The Show
My concept behind this solo performance is to justify technological music effects like looping, sampling, and input effects with theatrical props and set pieces. With the pedalboard of technology hidden, the theatrical props become the puppets while the loopers at my feet are pulling the strings. This allows me to both live-score while I tell traditional and original fantasy stories, as well as engage in a musical dialogue with the fairy lanterns and toy mushrooms to justify why another voice or instrument part has been added.
My intention is to continue to organically develop the project through performances at renaissance festivals and at educational engagements.
